Hey Murray Boys

Wow...time has slipped away from me again, I haven't updated this blog in quite a while. I wanted to share this photo of the boys with their big brother, Kyle. This was their first meeting and he was really great. I always thought he was an awesome little boy, now I know for sure. He walked in, picked up the boys, and played with them all week.

We had such a nice visit, I can't wait until he can come again. He's a great kid and awesome brother to all of his sibilings (4 total). I hope L&K grow up to be just like him.

♥ U Kyle!!!

Get your walk on!!

April 7th was the day we actually *counted* as the boys walking. There had been trying for the past month, but on 4/7, they both made it across the room, so we decided that was the day. Unfortunately, we weren't able to catch a video. I tried several times, here's what I got a week later (sorry for the rotate, I can't figure it out!! )

Crashin' Spring Break

We decided that after a year, it was time to venture out of town with the boys. We met the Tanners (aka Nana & Papa Tanner) with Kim and her family at their lake house in rural (to say the least) Mississippi. 5 hours into the trip we were rear-ended by some idiot in Louisville. Stop and go traffic, we were stopped, he was going....not a good combination. We had a extension in our hitch with a cooler strapped on with all of Jason's turkey hunting stuff in it. Needless to say, he folded up the cooler like an accordian and all of Jason's things were underneath his vehicle. We were all ok, just startled. It could have been much worse, but then again, it was completely avoidable. I thought Jason was going to kill the guy, he got out of the jeep and ran to him shouting & swearing. I don't know how many times you can drop the f* bomb in a sentence, Jason may now hold the record. 1 hour later, we were "on the road again".

Other than the start, the trip was really good. The boys were troopers and made it through the 13 hour ride. Except now they are scarred for life, they think every car ride is a long one, so they start screaming 10 minutes into it. Jackie bought the tvs that strap to the headrests, so that was definitely useful for the trip. Baby Einstein & Cheerios...what more can I say.

We have a great time visting great friends which seem more like family. We hope to make this an annual trip. Here are some photos:

What?!?!

Miracles do happen. Ron is doing A.W.E.S.O.M.E. He's actually being released on Friday. Of course, he'll have hospice care, but will be home with Greg & Nikki. He actually has fed himself for the last 2 days and stood up with a walker today. He'll continue to get physical therapy to get his mobility back.

The medical staff can neither believe or explain how Ron has went from one extreme to the other. They do not believe that he is getting better, but think he has had several good days. Well, each day gets better and better...so there!! Whatever you want to call it, Ron is determined to make life its best. While he accepts his destiny, he appreciates what he has, who he is, and everyone in his life.

Right now, we all are happy. period.
