Boys are doing great...no worries per Dr. Heiny. They are bow-legged like you wouldn't believe, but still manage to get around just fine. Here are their stats:

Louden

27 lbs 4 oz - 80%
31.6" tall - 75%

Keegan

28 lbs 9 oz - 90%
33" tall - 95%

I can't believe how much they've grown....everything is such a blur!!

Grandpa's SURPRISE Retirement Party

Grandpa Bob, Jason's Dad, has decided to retire early. Stephanie, his youngest, decided that it would be a good idea to throw a retirement party and try to get everyone there. Since Andy (oldest) now lives in GA, Us in OH, Laura in Destin, FL, and Steph contemplating moving to CA, this may be a now or never for us all to get together. On top of that, he's never seen the kids. During Christmas 2007, a heated situation left tension between us all.

Bob was surprised. He thought he was going to Cirque De Soleil in Orlando. As he went around greeting all his guests, Jason and I hid. We he got around the door we were hiding behind, we pushed the boys out to greet him. He dropped to his knees to see them. He knew right away. It truly emotional. Even got to Jason. There was not a dry eye in the room (or patio). I must say that I am relieved. I look forward to Bob and Diane being a bigger part in the boys' life. They don't have many surviving members on my side.....I want the best for them.

Both Bob and Diane said that this was the best surprise ever. Definitely worth the hectic weekend trip across the country.

ps: party was in Ocala or "gator country", notice we dressed the boys in OSU gear, just to make a point.

Here are the photos:

She's Crafty

No, not a Beastie Boy reference....literally. I seen a blog for Father's Day Gifts and decided to give it a try. I'll be giving Jason a framed photo of the boys holding wooden letters D-A-D. For almost no cost, I thought this was totally cute. Here are the photos:

I'm kinda of impressed, it's a little under a week to go and I'm almost done. C-bus girls: if you're interested in my letters, let me know...they're your's for the taking.

Now...hopefully Jason doesn't see this!! :)

Hey, What's going on?

The whole point to me starting this blog is so that people could check in on the boys. I was sending out emails and wasn't sure everyone *wanted* to get them as often as I was sending, so...if you're interested, here it is. Lately, my posts have been about other things. Life has been pretty hectic and I feel like I'm always running 100 miles an hour, but I have a feeling things will slow down soon.

The boys are really strong walkers now, trying everyday to "pick up the pace". Neither listen to my commands of "come here", unless of course, I have a cookie of some sort. Note: they think crackers are just as good as cookies. Both boys will point to thier nose and belly button when asked and when they feel like it. Did I mention that they are own their own schedule and agenda...if they don't want to, they don't....period. Mama and Dada are the only real recognizable words still. Keegan like to imitate a sneeze and even does the head motion. Little Louden likes to copy Jason blowing his nose, he puts his hands over his face and make this HHHHAAAHHHAAAA noise with his mouth. I have to tell you that I laughed until I cried the first time I seen it. I'm trying to get them to copy animal noises.....MOO sounds like OOOOHHH. Close enough for me. Both boys will imitate sign language such as "more", "milk", and "all done". I really should try more, but it's pretty time consuming.

Their 15 month appointment is next week, so more to follow. Photos too!!

Happy Anniversary (on Monday)!!

Jason and I will be celebrating our 4 year anniversary on Monday. Well, since it's Monday, I doubt there will be any celebrating. That along with the fact we have a trip coming up the following Friday (more on that later) .
I thought I'd share a few wedding photos. We were married at the Aventura Spa Palace in Riveria Maya, Mexico, on June 8, 2005. No witnesses (that we knew), no guests, and most importantly NO STRESS!!
We hope to go back next year to vaca.

The beginning of the end??

Ron, although still with us, is steadily declining. He is weaker by the day. None of the nurses or doctors expected him to hang in there this long, he's a tough ole' bird. Last Friday, he took a dramatic turn for the worse. He was hallucinating and tried to get himself out of bed. He was talking to my Mom and told my bro, Greg, that his old man was doing fine (my Dad died in 1990 and Mom in 2007). The nurse advised that these hallucinations usually happen 48 hours before death. Well, not the case here. Ron today had his wits about him, but he seems heartbroken. I think that he has finally accepted that he can not defeat this with his will alone. It's so sad....effen Cancer....I hate it.

Although I hate to see him go, I will be at peace that he is not suffering anymore. Via Con Dios, Ron. We ♥ you!!
