This past Sunday, L&K and I completed a 5 Mile walk for the March of Dimes aka March for Babies to raise money for prematurity awareness. Yes, I pushed my big boys for 5 miles rather than than 1 Mile Buggy Brigade set up for strollers. It took about 1 hour 40 minutes, a rice cake, a granola bar, a banana, and a cereal bar, but we made it!! Oh, and due to a meltdown at the completion, the boys were happy to receive a lollipop. I have learned to carry my "secret weapon" at all times. Judge me if you will, if you had more than one toddler, you'd understand.
We were proud to be part of this wonderful effort and are happy to report that Team Murray Boys were about to contribute $245 to the $250K raised for the Columbus Walk. Bennett & Kendyll had contributions made to our team rather than create their own, so thanks for Sara for the shout out on her blog.
Walking with us was Olivia's (27 weeker) Mom, Courtney, Courtney's sister, and Parker (34 weeker) with his Mom, Vicky. We truly missed our friends B&K(32 weekers), but Mommy was not feeling well at all. They were with us in spirit and we look forward to future walks with them :)
Thanks everyone for your support.
